A new project on the use of geothermal energy has been launched at JSC “Uzbekgeofizika.”
JSC “Uzbekgeofizika” has begun preparing the feasibility study for a pilot project focused on utilizing the geothermal energy of underground waters from deep wells — a new area of activity for the company.
On October 15, 2025, a field discussion was held at the “Fergana Geophysical Expedition” branch to review the existing opportunities and upcoming work within this highly promising field.
The discussion was attended by representatives of the **Uzbekistan Reconstruction and Development Fund**, the **National Agency for Energy Efficiency**, Hungary’s **“Geomax”** company, **JSC “Teploenergoproyekt”**, **State Enterprise “Uzbekhydrogeology”**, the **Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology**, and the **Kokand city administration**.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on the tasks and activities planned for the near and long-term future.
