Based on geological and geophysical studies conducted by specialists of JSC “UZBEKGEOFIZIKA”, and as a result of drilling operations carried out by JSC “Uzbekneftegaz”, new hydrocarbon fields have been discovered at 5 prospective structures.

These include:
– in the Bukhara–Khiva oil and gas region — Telegri, Gulshanbog and Kaprin;
– in the Ustyurt oil and gas region — Kyzyljar and Shagirlik (southern part).

The discovery of the Gulshanbog and Kaprin fields in August this year once again demonstrated the consistent and highly effective continuation of geological exploration and geophysical studies carried out throughout the year.

The team of JSC “UZBEKGEOFIZIKA” continues its systematic efforts to conduct in-depth studies of the country’s prospective oil and gas areas, identify new hydrocarbon reserves, and further strengthen the mineral and raw material base of the country.
