In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Joint-Stock Companies and the Protection of Shareholders’ Rights,” Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-4720 dated April 24, 2015, “On Measures to Introduce Modern Methods of Corporate Governance in Joint-Stock Companies,” and Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-5843 “On Measures to Radically Improve Personnel Policy and the Civil Service System in the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the joint-stock company “Uzbekgeofizika” announces a competition for candidates for the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board for Finance, Transformation, and Privatization.
Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as foreign nationals who have expressed a desire to participate in this competition, are invited to apply.
Candidate requirements:
- a college degree (in economics, finance and economics, or management);
- at least 10 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry in the relevant field, including at least 5 years in management positions;
- possession of a clearance to handle confidential documents, or the absence of any negative circumstances that would prevent the issuance of such clearance in the future.
Language Skills:
For residents: proficiency in Uzbek and Russian; proficiency in English and German is preferred;
For non-residents: proficiency in Russian, Uzbek, English, and German is preferred.
Computer skills:
Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of progressive forms of work organization based on a market economy and the efficient use of production capacity;
- No family ties to members of the company’s Supervisory Board or to executives and members of the management body.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop economic programs for the company’s growth and implement advanced methods of economic management.
- Define the company’s financial policy and develop and implement measures to ensure financial stability.
- Ensuring compliance with financial and economic discipline.
- Monitoring the status, flow, and use of financial resources, the results of financial and economic activities, and the fulfillment of tax obligations.
- Taking measures to ensure the company’s solvency and increase its profits.
- Analyzing and evaluating the organization’s financial performance, developing measures to improve the effectiveness of financial management, organizing internal audits, reviewing mutual claims arising in the course of financial and economic activities, and taking measures to resolve them in accordance with applicable law.
- Managing economic and financial operations in accordance with the company’s strategic goals and development prospects.
- Analyze and evaluate cash flows; develop measures to stabilize them.
- Oversee the preparation of long-term and short-term plans in collaboration with the company’s operational divisions.
- Managing the activities of the company’s financial and economic departments, organizing professional development programs for employees, and providing guidance to staff on financial matters.
- Coordinating the activities of subordinate branches and departments in the areas of economics, finance, labor, and human resources.
- Rational allocation of incoming funds.
- Ensuring the achievement of performance indicators, including cost reduction targets, as well as the Company’s efficiency and effectiveness.
- Addressing issues related to privatization and public-private partnerships.
- Organizing administrative, economic, and document management processes.
- Ensuring that departments and branches operate in accordance with the Company’s approved organizational structure.
- Performing other tasks similar in nature to the functional responsibilities.
- Carrying out special tasks assigned by the Chairman of the Board of Directors related to the Company’s activities, within the scope of his authority and not contrary to the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Working Conditions:
Working hours: 5/2, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full-time position.
Prepared in accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Salary: the salary established by the staffing table, plus payments (bonuses) in accordance with the company’s internal documents and market mechanisms.

Candidates must submit documents and copies thereof in both paper and electronic formats. Documents from candidates applying for the position (resumes or letters of recommendation, copies of diplomas and certificates, letters of recommendation, a copy of the employment record book, and a certificate of no criminal record) are accepted by the Human Resources and Professional Development Department of Uzbekgeofizika Joint-Stock Company.
